So I just found THIS website which I personally find to be absolutely brilliant. Some may consider it a little unethical or even illegal but I love the idea and I am eager to give it a shot. Here's the concept...
Movie tickets are terribly expensive these days so what THIS website does for you is helps work the schedule to theater hopping. The website calls it Movie Madness but to me and my friends, it's called theater hopping. What that means is you pay for one ticket and then you try to see as many movies as possible without getting caught or buying another ticket. Obviously it can be tricky and it does require a little bit of planning but that's where this website makes it easier for you.
The program that this website runs off of will let you put in you zip code and it will do a search for all the movie theaters in your area. Then you pick the theater you want to go to, enter a few criteria for your theater hopping adventure and viola, it spits out as many schedules for movies as possible that meet your requirements.
The thing that makes it so great is you can narrow it down by:
Date.
Minimum number of movies considered.
How much time at the end of the movie you are willing to miss.
How much time between movies you are willing to wait.
It will also let you pick which movies the schedule has to include or exclude.
For example... I picked the Cinemark Theater in Denton (mostly because it's large and easy to blend in with the crowds plus it has 14 screens), tomorrow's date, a minimum of 5 movies, I didn't want to miss any of the movie, I would only wait 40 minutes between films and then I told the program to include: Paul Blart Mall Cop, Taken, Watchmen, Fired Up, and Miss March. Out came the following schedules:
Well, I've been trying to the last hour to paste a picture of the schedules but for some reason my laptop won't allow Paint to save the picture of the screen cap so... I'll just have to tell you it gave me one schedule that only included the movies I selected:
Taken at 11:30 am, Paul Blart at 1:35 pm, Fired Up at 3:10 pm, Miss March at 4:45 pm, & Watchmen at 6:30 pm. Taadaa!!!!
Anyways, if you're looking for an easy way to schedule your theater hopping than this is the way to do it. Oh and before I forget, the website offers some advice on successfully completing your theater hopping and I wanted to make sure I linked to it HERE. Good advice and clever too.
